Time really has flown by since starting this project and it’s time I start to consider design aspects of my projects. For my brand book I’ve decided to work in A5 landscape format, whilst for my report I will use an A4 portrait layout to give variation to my project.
As I have been collecting images for my project I have found a lot are in black and white, so I am considering using only black and white images, which I feel will be suitable for my brand. I have been inspired to do this by Barberology UK Instagram page who follows a similar aesthetic to Edge. I think this will look effective especially if I use colour aspects from my logo, including barbershop red to create a nice contrast to the images.
Below are the first few pages of my brand book which I have created using InDesign, after flat planning the whole project. The introduction of a brand book needs to be impactful and set the tone of voice immediately of the brand; and I feel these pages really communicate Edge’s friendly and confident personality!
